| David Larsen (J79WW) operating the amateur radio station at the J73HPL
cottage. The amateur radio station is well equipped with 500 watts on 160-10
meter hf bands, vertical antennas on VHF/UHF and a Carolina Windom for 160
meters and up. A Mosley TA-33, three element beam on 20, 15, 10 and 6 meters with
rotator on the 40 foot tower just outside the station is available (see
photo 6). A 12 and 17 meter kit have been added. The elevation at Wotton Waven of 900 feet and no power line noise
and no industrial noise makes this an ideal radio location. Dave and his
wife Gaynell have made thousands of international radio contacts from this
station. |
